I've had this coffee before, which is why I reordered it. It's whole bean again. I still think that's the best way to order it, then grind it just before brewing.

I started drinking Lion Coffee in 1983 when visiting Maui for business. I was staying at the Maui Marriott eating breakfast looking at the mountains having one of those "I should just stay here forever" moments. The place was like nowhere I'd ever been something from a dream the coffee was out of this world and the coffee craze hadn't even started yet. I visit Maui every couple of years but I order my coffee from the Hawaii Coffee Company who still understand how to roast coffee so that it's a pleasure to drink. We use steam distilled water and a stainless steel French press, it's the very first thing I do each morning and well worth it. Try it you won't be disappointed.

Item is a gift and evaluating how good the coffee is - is a little difficult. Have not heard from the person that received the coffee other than they received the coffee.
